Irbis was formed by a visionary team of four entrepreneurs who were captivated by the complexities of logistics and supply chain. They set out to drive change in the industry, beginning with a unique strategy for consolidation and integration of temperature controlled storage and transport in Europe, the UK and Ireland
Now, Irbis Capital Partners actively collaborates with visionary founders and skilled management teams to cultivate leading enterprises in the dynamic logistics landscape and deliver robust returns for our stakeholders.

Jeff Kirby
Board Member and Executive Chairman
Jeff is a real estate and investment professional with a demonstrated track record across various asset classes. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Irbis Capital, Jeff has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s success in developing logistics and supply chain assets.
Before founding Irbis Capital, Jeff was a Managing Director at New Sparta Asset Management, an emerging markets real estate platform funded by some of the former founders of Ashmore, at the time the largest emerging markets fund manager in the world.
Jeff also served as the CEO of European Future Group, managing a team of 85, and 230 employees across 5 countries.
Jeff has sourced investments and restructured developments worth over $4bn.
Jeff complemented his solid foundations in engineering, finance, technologies, and real estate with 30 more years of experience and formal degrees and highly specific executive education programmes, including MIT, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Kuhne Logistics University, and London Business School.

Jonathan Kirby
Principal of Investments
Jonathan is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience. He specialises in scaling up businesses through transition, technology innovation and acquisition integration.
He most recently helped a French software company that provides mission critical solutions to the defence industry restructure, innovate, and exit to a specialist investor.
He is a veteran of GE Capital working in real estate and equipment finance, where he drove the execution of integrations and divestures of over $10 bn.
Prior to GE he worked at Nike and Samsung. At Nike he revamped the supply chain across Europe and in Korea, consolidating operations into a purpose built $70 mn state of the art facility. At Samsung he drafted the product distribution plan for investments of over $2 bn.
He began his career with Canada Post Corporation.
Jonathan has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ottawa, a Master’s from Yonsei University, and recently completed post graduate studies at the Edinburgh Business School.

Shaun Tillery
Group Finance Director
Shaun Tillery is a CIMA-qualified Finance Director (FCMA / CGMA) with over 25 years of senior management experience, driving success for more than 50 companies across 16 diverse sectors. He is an expert in comprehensive financial management, with a proven track record of overseeing complex multi-site operations both in the UK and internationally.
Shaun has been headhunted as UK Finance Director at Easyflyers Logistics Limited after two years collaborating with them as a key client while at HW Fisher LLP. At Easyflyers he directed due diligence that provided the owners with a partial 25% exit in December 2022. As a Principal at HW Fisher LLP, he significantly enhanced the firm’s capabilities in strategic planning, corporate governance, and control. His appointment enabled HW Fisher to offer advanced consultancy services, elevating enterprise performance reporting and evaluation for its clients.
Prior to HW Fisher he spent several years as portfolio finance managers, where he established a clientele of over 25 SME’s delivering substantial sales and equity valuation growth totalling circa £7.5mm.

Saskia Jacobsen
Board Member and Advisor
Saskia is an M&A Transaction Manager and Co-Founder of a number of startups within the logistics and logistic technology sector. Operating on the Irbis Capital Private Equity platform, specialising in creating value in logistics and supply chain assets through aggregation and consolidation (M&A) and / or digital and operational optimisation. As part of the founding team, secured significant seed round funding which led to a major investment commitment (up to $1.5bn for the sector) from a single source capital partner, becoming the youngest MIP and equity holder in the investor’s history. Working with key stakeholders both internally and externally to develop the market proposition, operational processes and procedures as well as identifying and building an international deal pipeline.
Saskia is a true entrepreneur and key networker, currently developing a ‘Women in Supply Chain’ initiative incorporating Supply Chain, Tech, Finance mentoring and network program.
Saskia’s sector focus is unparalleled, specialising in supply chain and logistics: strategy, management, design, operations, and environmental sustainability; studying at Stanford, MIT (Boston), London Business School, Kühne Logistics University (Hamburg), City, University of London (London) and the University of Hamburg.

Reena Venkatesh
Board Member and Advisor
Reena is an M&A Analyst at Irbis; leveraging in-depth market research and analysis to both identify and inform strategically robust investment opportunities. Processing key market trends and industry challenges into tangible M&A activity.
Reena has a strong financial and analytical background. Previous experience includes intern analyst positions based in Singapore within Private Equity and Venture Capital, covering investments across Southeast Asia.
Reena’s career is underpinned by strong educational foundations: a Masters in Financial Analysis (London Business School) and a BSc in Financial Mathematics and Statistics (London School of Economics and Political Science).

Sam Gurung
M&A Analyst
Sam is an M&A Analyst at Irbis, specialising in identifying and evaluating high-potential investment opportunities. With a keen eye for market trends and an analytical approach, Sam integrates detailed financial analysis with strategic insights to support impactful M&A decisions.
Sam’s previous experience includes working at two boutique firms in London, where he acquired hands-on experience in various facets of M&A, financial analysis, and client engagement.
His academic achievements include a Bachelor’s in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Winchester, followed by a Master’s in Banking and Finance from King’s College London.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Sam has an avid interest in sports and has led and participated in numerous teams, including rugby, cricket, and football. He also loves music and plays the guitar. These pursuits have enriched his life and honed his teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

Ella Wakefield
M&A Analyst
Ella is an M&A Analyst at Irbis, using her skills and attention to detail to undergo market research and analysis, and help support the Irbis team with their M&A decisions. Ella brings in experience from her previous role within the accountancy team at Pulleyn Transport LTD, where she assisted with tasks such as electronic inventorying.
Ella received a Bachelors in Physics with Astronomy from the University of Surrey and is set to further her education with a Masters in Astrophysics at the University of St Andrews in 2024/2025.
During her final year she took an optional Financial Derivatives module in order to further her financial understanding to prepare for a career path within business and finance.
In her free time Ella maintains a balanced lifestyle by attending yoga classes, working out at the gym, and reading. She reads both inside and outside of her academic area of physics to further her knowledge. These activities enrich both her personal life and professional capabilities.

Archee Garg
M&A Analyst
Archee is an M&A Analyst at Irbis, leveraging her deep expertise in analysing complex economic challenges to drive informed and strategic M&A decisions.
With a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics, specialising in Economic Policy and International Development, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Delhi, she brings a strong academic foundation to her role, combining rigorous financial analysis with a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.
Archee’s hands-on experience includes a role at Moody’s Investors Service, where she led a project analysing the impact of fiscal consolidation on regional governments in Europe. She has also worked at Invest India (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GoI) and the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry, where she contributed to strategic decision-making, financial analysis, and policy research.
Outside of her academic and professional career, Archee is passionate about art and painting, pursuits that fuel her creativity and complement her analytical mindset in the dynamic world of mergers and acquisitions.

Jo Eyles
Chief of Staff
Jo has over 20 years in business management positions, predominantly in fast-moving entrepreneurial environments; either backed by Private Equity or high-net-worth individuals. She’s driven start-ups and scale-ups forward across Europe, the Middle East, United States and Africa.
Her category experience spans; agriculture, construction, finance, FMCG, hospitality, healthcare, logistics, real estate, retail, recruitment, telecoms, and the service sector.
Her raison d’etre: adaptability, problem-solving, discretion and clear communication, underpinned by high levels of commercial awareness and excellent analytical and research skills.
Her love for business is evidenced by her reading list and formal education; BSc (Hons) Information Systems for Business in Europe from Brunel University. Her dynamism and get-up and go is demonstrated in her love of sports: gym, tennis, and rugby.

Rachel Doody
Operational Finance Officer
Rachel is the Operational Finance Director for Irbis. Addressing all financial issues. The here and now, alongside future forecasting and reporting. Delivering within the context of M&A; new opportunities, new environments, new partnerships.
Rachel has previously gained business experience across various industries: construction, hospitality, and recruitment. Her heartland being financial roles where she leverages the latest software and manages key relationships. Clear and efficient working is her mantra.
Her practical, hands-on experience has been complimented by a business orientated educational background, including two Business Studies distinctions (BTEC First and National Diploma), and a certification from the Sage University for Sage 50 accounts.
Outside of work Rachel can be seen touring Britain’s roads with friends on her beloved motorbike or immersing herself in a great book or film.
